The Video EEG Monitoring Test is a more specialized form of an EEG test. The patient is constantly monitored via video screen allowing the doctor to monitor brainwaves during a seizure, black-out spell or hallucination and determine the nature of the activity.

Video EEG testing usually requires a 1 to 3 day stay in our neurodiagnostic suite or possibly the hospital, though no pain or discomfort will be experienced during the test. Your child may move freely about your room during the test, with electrodes attached to their scalp.
